We design websites, build Shopify apps, and ship AI tools. Based in Surrey, BC — working with clients across Vancouver, North America, and wherever the good work happens to be.
The Studio
OriginPIXIPACE began in 2020 as a quiet experiment: could a small, focused studio out-ship big agencies — not by working faster, but by working deliberately?
Six years and several hundred projects later, the answer is yes. We're still small. We're still independent. We still take on work we can personally stand behind. And we've never billed by the hour.
Etymology
The studio is named PIXIPACE — from Pixels In Pace. Deliberate pixels. Measured pace. Not fast, not slow — the pace the work deserves.
Most client work falls in one of three lanes: websites that need to feel intentional, Shopify apps that need to feel native, and AI tools that need to actually work. We've shipped our own product () in the second lane — which means when we build Shopify work for clients, we're doing it from experience, not from a tutorial.
If you're looking for a 30-person agency with a sales team and a CSM layer, we're not that. If you want a small studio that treats your project like their own — and that ships rather than pitches — we might be a fit.
Principles
What we believePace over speed
Speed is a race; pace is a rhythm. We don't ship the fastest version of the work — we ship the version that deserves to exist. That usually takes a week longer. It's always worth it.
Fewer, better decisions
A site has maybe twenty decisions that matter — typography, voice, spacing, the one accent colour, the one signature interaction. We spend disproportionate time on those. Everything else is just execution.
Show the work, not the deck
We don't send 40-slide proposals. You get a short doc with what we'll build, when, and for how much — and a link to a working prototype inside the first two weeks.
Small, independent, honest
PIXIPACE is a small studio. We don't pretend to be a 30-person agency. We take on work we can personally ship — because that's the only way to stand behind it.
How we work
Four stagesCall
A 30-minute call. You tell us the problem. We tell you — honestly — whether we're the right studio to solve it. No sales theatre.
Proposal
Within 72 hours: a short written proposal with scope, timeline, fixed price, and the tradeoffs we're recommending. You either approve or we rework it once.
Build
Fixed-scope sprints, 2–6 weeks. Demos every Friday. You see the work as it's built, not at a single big reveal.
Ship
We launch, monitor for a week, and hand over documentation that an in-house team can actually pick up. Maintenance retainer optional.
